Kim Soo Hyun Opens Up About His Relationship with Kim Sae Ron - Actor Kim Soo Hyun has finally spoken about his past relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron during a press conference held in Seoul, South Korea, on Monday (March 31, 2025).
At the start of his statement, Kim Soo Hyun appeared composed as he delivered his opening remarks. However, as the press conference continued, emotions overwhelmed him. Tears streamed down his face, and he occasionally sobbed.
"Every time news about me and her comes out, I always tell myself, ‘Tomorrow, I’ll tell them everything. I’ll reveal the truth and put an end to this torment.’
But each time, I hesitate," Kim Soo Hyun admitted, his voice trembling.
His tone grew heavier, and his breathing became unsteady as he continued speaking.
"I’m afraid of the consequences of my decision. What if I end up ruining everything? When ‘Queen of Tears’ aired and she posted a photo of us, I felt the same way," he said.
In the middle of his emotional speech, Kim Soo Hyun took a sip of water from a bottle and wiped his face.
At one point, the 37-year-old actor even choked up while speaking.
He then confirmed that he had dated Kim Sae Ron for about a year, five years ago.
Kim Soo Hyun acknowledged that he had denied their relationship in the past, even when Kim Sae Ron posted a selfie in March 2024, during the airing of Queen of Tears.
"I know I deserve criticism for what I did," he concluded.
